Hey all! I've finally gotten a softpad and StepMania set up at home, and I'm dancing like a madwoman :)
The DDR originals can only last so long before they turn my brain into mush. I'm in search of interesting stepfiles, particularly those that are *not* electronic. Any suggestions on sources or particular files?
My current favorite is "Haste to the Wedding", an irish song by the Corrs. Lots of fun jig-type steps :)

Sat, April 8, 2006 - 3:15 PMSometime in the future if I don't already purchase a newer softpad, i'll probably make a custom hard mat by placing the soft mat on a big peice of board. Cheap and affective. I just don't have teh money to purchase an actualy hard mat for home.
Have you looked around for harder mats? They have a new series out, that are fairly cheap. (About 155$+ for one matt)
But if you haven't, I strongly suggest moving onto a foam pad.

the only bad thing about those is they fold over your feet when you step on them. Easily manageable. Cut a peice of board, and take out the foam. Slide that right on it and it's fantastic. Because you can actually feel the arrows better (barefoot)
sorry. i'm a nerd. ahaha.
