I have just bought DDR Hottest Party two, but it seems that 3rd party dance pads do not work!
3rd party pads do work with HP1.
Extra Konami dance pads (as with HP1) do work, but nobody sells them and the Konami site is always out of stock. I see people even complaining on an official Konami forum: www.ddronlinecommunity.com/foru...s/501
So I decided to return my HP2 and stay with HP1 - until Konami fix their problem of not working with any other dancepads except their own - OR... other dancepad manufacturers do something that makes their existing pads work with HP2.
Personally I think the problem is with Konami software so HP2 only works with their pads, either intentionally or accidentally.
If it was intentional, that's bad for their business - since people aren't going to buy HP2 once word gets out. I know I'll recommend nobody gets HP2.
If it was accidental, bad move Konami, you should have tested your Hottest Party two software with 3rd party pads (eg professional dance pads)!
Anyone know why?
