I've only lived in the bay area for a few months now (in Oakland), and I was wondering, are there any sweet arcades in SF that are hot spots for DDR? I'm used to living at the side of a machine for hours with multiple people, doing the quarter line and passing out on the floor, everyone packing their little survival DDR kit of a towel, change of clothes, a water bottle, etc...
Is there a community like that at all here? I miss it sorely :(
I train by myself in my dorm room now...where do the hardcore DDR masters roam? :P

Re: DDR playing in SF
Sat, January 6, 2007 - 6:21 PMOk, I haven't been in abuout 6 months, but the arcade at Fisherman's wharf has a number of machines - there are 2 DDR extreme, and 2 of the older ones. If I remember correctly, the older ones (DDR Max, I think - the orange one) are fairly cheap and empty, while there's usually a crowd around the Extreme versions.
The Metreon used to have a DDR outside the cinemas, but it recently disappeared. They may have just rotated it into the arcade on the 2nd floor, but I don't know if there's much of a crowd... -

"Can't stop playing (DDR) till you're knee-deep in sweat and your shoes are filled with blood."
I stand by that, so poo. People should be more active in this tribe, DDR isn't big enough in the bay area :(
And thanks to the first reply, I shall check those places out. I own several versions for the PS2, but an arcade is a whole different expereince, ya know?
